¿Cuándo?
Our recommendation: use daily as a localised acne cure for pimples and blackheads. May be used until the condition of the skin visibly improves. In the evening, before applying your moisturizing cream (do not mix).
¿Dónde?
Apply exclusively to affected facial areas, avoiding the eye contour area. Apply to dry, thoroughly cleansed skin.
¿Cómo?
Squeeze the base of the bottle and apply the following amount directly to facial skin: - 1 drop for a few isolated pimples, - or 2 drops to each area of particular concern (forehead, nose). May also be applied locally to other affected areas of the body (back, cleavage, etc.).

Salicylic Acid, a powerful keratolytic, facilitates desquamation through a biological action on the corneodesmosomes (which bind the cells of the stratum corneum). Salicylic acid also inhibits the enzyme cholesterol sulphotransferase, which modifies the composition of the intercellular cement and accentuates desquamation. This desquamation makes it possible to limit a build-up of cells that can cause pores to become blocked, thereby limiting the development of new blemishes. By regulating the biological mechanism for renewing the barrier function (desquamation), the Pure Active Salicylic Acid 2% visibly reduces imperfections and refines skin texture.

How do blackheads form?
Combination, oily and acne-prone skin tends to be thicker, especially around the pores. Sebum can no longer flow properly, and gradually builds up in the pores. This build-up then forms a plug, which oxidises with the ambient air. Like apples that turn brown in contact with the air, sebum blackens as it oxidizes and forms a blackhead.
What should I do when a facial pimple appears?
Above all, do not give in to the temptation of popping it because, as well as the risk of spreading bacteria, you could leave little scars on your face. In order, the 3 good habits are: 1/ very carefully and gently cleanse your skin 2/ purify the surrounding area 3/ treat the root or the cause of the spot. What is the difference between BHA and AHA?
An AHA is an alpha hydroxy acid and a BHA is a beta hydroxy acid. AHAs and BHAs are both “chemical” exfoliants (as opposed to mechanical exfoliants with grains): they help eliminate dead cells and therefore stimulate cell renewal for a more even skin texture, and smooth, even and bright skin. BHAs such as salicylic acid are distinctive as they have a specific action (in this case, keratolytic), they are therefore particularly suited to combination to oily skin and skin prone to imperfections and blackheads.
What constitutes excess sebum?
Sebum is composed of lipids and contributes to the face’s skin barrier function. It protects the skin from damage, especially UV-induced oxidation. With hyperseborrhoea, or excess sebum, oily skin tends to shine on the entire face. Unsuitable or poorly used cosmetics (too rich, too stripping) and sun exposure without protection can encourage excess sebum production. In adulthood, causes include pollution, smoking, stress and fatigue.
